The new SS11 season is rapidly approaching. As all the pieces come together in the new Krane collection, some magic is added by the melodies that come into the picture, with single beats and squeaks and squawks. Big beats and looping melodies take the monotony out of sketching tech packs, drafting patterns, and constructing muslins. Caribou(formerly Manitoba) performed at the Phoenix Concert theatre in Toronto last monday, so the beats and melodies came to us, LIVE.
Psychedelic visuals played in the background as they performed their unique sound. The moments with extended breakdown beat sequences(during their older material) that continually upped their energy to an epic explosive climax, were a definite highlight.
